Pilar Nadales Marfil

In 1980, Pilar began her training in a traditional pottery, where she discovered the secrets of this ancient trade. Fascinated by the artistic possibilities that clay offered her, she continued her training  in different ceramic schools, until 1985, the year in which Gadú was born, the fusion of two souls devoted to ceramics, Pilar Nadales and Raúl Pereda.

This marked the beginning of a life devoted to the investigation of ceramic shapes and finishes. Her work stands out because of her great knowledge of oriental ash glazes, which she elaborates manually and sustainably, using her own  materials.

During her professional career she has participated in numerous exhibitions and competitions not only in Spain, but around Europe, the Netherlands, Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Portugal and Egypt, and has trained potters in high-temperature glazes made with wood ashes.

Diego Pereda Nadales

From a very early age his bond with ceramics has been close, so much so that at just 16 years old he decided to take his training a step further, dedicating himself completely to ceramics, specializing in unravelling the shapes that a good potter can create.

In 2018, he started  teaching the potter's wheel techniques, working for different workshops and studios in Madrid, while carrying out commissions for different decoration shops, bars and restaurants.

It will be in 2022, thanks to his desire to keep the tradition of the artisan alive, when he decides to join Gadú, thus forming the second generation of ceramicists in the family.
